The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Together in Life and Death

DSC01046I arrived back around lunchtime from a trip to Perth and as I drove in I noticed 2 Guinea Fowls sitting in the sun.  It was a hot day and I thought silly birds and almost went over to move them on, but didn’t.   When I went out to feed the horses at five I saw that they were dead.  It looked like one of them had had its throat torn out by a fox and the other one didn;t have a mark on it, but it looked like it had sat with its mate and died in the heat.  I felt bad that I hadn;t gone over to shoo it away or get it some water, but figured, it would have missed its mate and may have died anyway.
