Sunlit Silent Sentinels

2013-02-21 06.08.42I could see the sun rise over the horizon by watching the  light stretching down the trees.  The direct light picks out the trunks in a soft pinky grey and I think they are at their most beautiful at this time of day. They are the strong, silent, sunlit sentinels of the property.  At 20 degrees, it was 10 degrees warmer than yesterday and the humidity was rising ahead of the rain.  We only got 1mm in the gauge, but it was better than nothing.  Most of the rain shown on the radar slipped north of south of us with the town of Busselton doubling our reading with 2.2mm.
