Two Birds in The Hand is Worth…
At four days old the birds are steady on their big orange feet and eating all day. They already have wing feathers sprouting but are still cute and fluffy. I am handling them every day to try and reduce the stress on them when I move them out to clean the brooder or move them up to the next cage. They still squawk every time I put my hand in their box whether I am giving them food, water or picking them up. I am holding them until they fall asleep which doesn’t take long, but sleep only lasts a few minutes.
