Billie’s Bodyguard
Yesterday when Brad was on Guinea Feeding duty, he noticed that Billie had found herself a bodyguard. An adult female stood watch when she was eating or ate alongside her. She was on duty again today, staying near her out in the paddock and eating with her in the evening. It gives me hope that Billie is now being accepted into the flock and will survive to adulthood. It also makes it easier at feeding time without having to herd the other birds away from her to make sure she gets enough food. I am sure she is happier having one less thing to worry about.
