Hay Feeder

20130510 010I bought a couple of second-hand metal bed frames from a recent Busselton Lions Club shed sale.  The bases will be used to train vegetables in the garden and I thought the head/foot boards would make perfect hay feeders.   Brad welded rods at the side to hold them in a 60 degree angle and welded some channel on the bottom that would fit over the “breakfast bar” (which separates the sleeping quarters from the sun deck). Having it on the divider, the goats have access to it day and night, even if I shut them in.  Once he had screwed it down, he filled it with some hay and left them to it.  Midge got the hang of it right away.   One feeder down, one to go.
