The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

More Like May

20130513 021Today’s clear skies and cool still air, are more like the May I expect.  The rain last week was welcome, but a bit earlier than anticipated and a bit more than forecast.

I see May is a unifying month between northern and southern hemispheres.  I follow some blogs in a rural part of New York State and at this time of year, our photos look much the same.   We have green grass and pale blue skies with heavy morning dew.  Until recently they had snow, and we had parched dry landscapes, but we will now travel a similar path towards harvest in October – theirs after a drying summer, ours after a wet winter.
