Seeking Shade

20140602 033I was very happy to see some of the sheep lying down in the shade of the shelter when I went down at 11am.  The sun was out and it was almost 20 degrees C.  A few people had laughed at me when I said we were building a shelter for the sheep.  They pointed out that they had wool coats coated with lanolin which makes them pretty waterproof.   There are no trees in the paddock yet and I wanted to make sure they had somewhere to avoid the sun/wind/rain if they wanted.    The shelter also shades the water trough which should reduce the build up of algae.  It looks like my instincts were correct.
