New Ball Valve
Brad had the brilliant idea to put a ball valve into the upstream pipe from the pump. In the future if we do need to do anything on the pump, we don;t need to empty the whole line. This will save time and water. It was all looking good until I noticed that the pressure was dropping and then the pump stopped. We tightened all the connections, but when we tried switching it on again, the control unit showed a fault and it wouldn’t work. Lesson: don’t try to repair pump on a Sunday when the shop is closed. We just connected the pump direct to the power supply which will un-automate the retic, but at least I will have water. I will just have to keep a tap open and walk up and down to the dam to switch it on then off.
