The flies have disappeared
After wearing a flyveil for the last 7 weeks while working around the property, this morning I picked up the horses boxes without one. The dung beetles are doing a fantastic job – despite the best efforts of the chickens and guineas – and I am happy it is still a race to pick up the manure in the mornings before the dung beetles bury it in the sand.
