We don&#8217;t find many on the ground, Brad found this one, and it is only the the second in 4 years. \u00a0 \u00a0I will let it dry out until it splits open to release its seed. \u00a0The flowers, which appear in January, are amazing, looking like <a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/30\/scents-of-summer\/\" target=\"_blank\">woolly sheep<\/a> and they have a beautiful scent. \u00a0It is a Proteaceae and related to\u00a0Grevillia, Hakea and Banksia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The fruit of the\u00a0Woody Pear or Xylomelum\u00a0is rock hard with a soft\u00a0velvety outer skin.
