{"id":3582,"date":"2013-07-12T18:44:53","date_gmt":"2013-07-12T10:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/?p=3582"},"modified":"2013-07-15T16:21:08","modified_gmt":"2013-07-15T08:21:08","slug":"developing-udder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/12\/developing-udder\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing Udder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/2013-07-14-17.10.59.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3632\" alt=\"2013-07-14 17.10.59\" src=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/2013-07-14-17.10.59-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/2013-07-14-17.10.59-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/2013-07-14-17.10.59.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/04\/happy-birthday-midge\/\">Midge<\/a> is starting to look pregnant and is getting more &#8220;private&#8221;. \u00a0I think she can feel her babies and she doesn&#8217;t like me rubbing her belly near her udder any more. \u00a0 \u00a0Her udder is starting to develop, she doesn&#8217;t just have teats sticking out of her belly anymore. \u00a0This should be week 13-14 of her 21 week pregnancy. \u00a0I checked with Andreas at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.koonac.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">Koonac<\/a> and he confirmed that the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span>umen sticks out more on the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>R<\/strong><\/span>ight, and the kids will show more on the left. \u00a0This makes sense as the <a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/10\/baby-goats\/\">doe I saw kidding<\/a> on 10th July lay on her left side. \u00a0I am relieved to see these signs as there was no guarantee that she fell pregnant, and it is hard to tell with goats without the expense and hassle of an ultrasound.
