{"id":3601,"date":"2013-07-11T21:26:52","date_gmt":"2013-07-11T13:26:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/?p=3601"},"modified":"2013-07-11T21:26:52","modified_gmt":"2013-07-11T13:26:52","slug":"childhood-dream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/07\/11\/childhood-dream\/","title":{"rendered":"Childhood Dream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130709-054.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-3498\" alt=\"20130709 054\" src=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130709-054-300x199.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130709-054-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/20130709-054.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>I was horse mad from 7 years old and 40 years later, I still have all my childhood horse and pony books and of course my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.toyequestrian.co.uk\/horses\/britains.html\" target=\"_blank\">Britain&#8217;s 1:32 model horse collection<\/a>. \u00a0All I dreamed of was having my own pony. \u00a0I made a saddle out of a flattened cardboard box and &#8220;rode&#8221; a wall in the backyard and went to the riding stables whenever I could. \u00a0During the school holidays, my Dad would drop me off at the stables on his way to work at 8am and pick me up at 5pm and I mucked out stables and groomed horses all day, I was in heaven.
