They look like\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/16\/holly-leaved-hovea\/\" target=\"_blank\">Holly Leaved Hovea<\/a> which flowered in May, but have a smooth rather than jagged leaf. \u00a0Like the <a href=\"https:\/\/cathmiller.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/13\/spring-springing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kennedia<\/a>, they are one of the\u00a0Fabaceae or pea family with a similar shaped flower.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tree Hoveas (Hovea Elliptica) in the forest are covered with beautiful purple flowers.
