Oil Slick Colours<\/p><\/div>\n

It was a surprisingly overcast day, so I thought I would look at the ants nest<\/a> to see if it looked different on a cloudy day compared to a sunny day. It did. \u00a0There was a lot more activity, though I took this photo in the morning and the other in the afternoon. \u00a0I saw some ants bringing material out of the nest and others bringing in white silica sand, so I am not sure if the redder tone is the final version. \u00a0In the coming and going photo below, you can clearly see the difference between the arranged sand and the natural lie of the land. \u00a0 It looks like the 2 ants pictured are checking entry\/exit credentials. We are expecting a cooler night tonight, so it will be interesting to see how it looks this afternoon and tomorrow.<\/p>\n
