Birds at 12 days

20140324_115528And they have wings.  I find it incredible how quickly wild animals develop.  Less than 2 weeks after hatching, D’Artagnan and the 3 Musketeers have proper wings and are flapping around their brooder and I will have to move them to their bigger box.    They are also perching on their stick and enjoying the scraps of lettuce that I have started feeding them.  Like the bigger birds they are noisy and hungry around 6pm then around 6.30pm go completely silent for the next 12 hours while they sleep.
