Guinea Fowl Eggs

DSC00461We found a huge nest full of guinea fowl eggs in the capeweed near the round yard. The birds were hanging round, but no-one stayed on the nest as we approached. We have already lost a couple of birds to foxes as they were sitting on the nest, so we thought it best to bring the eggs in. Also Shorty eats the eggs when she finds them and any more than a couple is not good for her digestion and subsequently us.
