The fire seemed to creep along slowly, gradually eating all the fuel in its path, but occasionally it would flare up and run up the trees into the crowns. The bark of the Jarrah is made up of paper like strips which are designed to ignite to take the fire into the tree tops. Many of the Australian natives need fire to rejenerate. resize14
