The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Slabbed

2012-06-27 14.28.48It took about 4 days to dock, snig, slab and mill the big Marri, a couple of Jarrah and a sheoak that was hidden in one of the fire piles for burning. I was “snigging” the “docked” logs out of the forest with the tractor. It was a bit hairy as some of the pieces were as heavy as the tractor and the surface wasn’t level. I showed Gary a whole new level of slow and steady.
