The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Pink Fairies

IMG_1257After the yellow cowslip, the pink fairies (in the same Caladenia family) are the most common around the property. There are a number of different subspecies and they hybridise with the cowslip to produce beautiful variations in colour.   We have the Latifolia, Reptans, Spectabilis and the Nana.  The centre of the flowers can look like little dolls and fairies.
