Allergic Reaction
27 year old horse took an allergic reaction to something. His lips and throat swelled up and he was gasping for breath. He had had a similar reaction 2 years earlier and I still had a needle in the fridge. His reaction this time was even more severe and I wasn;t sure if the drugs would still be viable but thought it better than nothing until the vet came out. The vet came and gave him a cortisone injection too and left me with an Epipen, 2 more anti-histamine injections and a couple of dexaforte needles to use as a prophylactic in case I have to be away from property for a couple of days.
