Raking the Hay

IMG_1888We cut the hay about 6 inches above the ground to avoid cutting the capeweed in with it. The plan seems to have worked and the hay is forming nice “ropes” as it is turned. This is the 2nd turn and it will be flipped one last time a couple of hours before baling as the moisture stays trapped under the “stook”.
