Baby Blue Eyes under siege
Something had been trying to dig into the Guinea Fowl cage over night. The predator had focused its efforts digging near the door either recognising it as a weak spot or scenting my comings and goings. There was a fair amount of digging, but the cage is impenetrable for anything bigger than 2″ as the whole floor is meshed too.
I hadn’t noticed that young Guinea fowl have blue grey eyes. The mature birds eyes look much darker in the photos, but I can’t get close enough to see them in real life.
