The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Perfect Timing

20130217 004aThe rain started just as I drove the mower and spread/spiker back undercover.   We were going to irrigate the paddock and spread the fertiliser yesterday evening – so that it would sit overnight and get watered in at dawn before the heat of the day – but, the wind didn’t drop as forecast so we couldn’t use the sprinklers.   It is over 2 months since our last attempt at fertilising the summer paddock/arena.   With a new controller and the pump working well, I am hoping for a better result.   We have had a couple of false starts in between when the weather didn’t to to plan or the pump had stopped working, but this time the short shower was an added bonus.
