The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

and we have Lift Off

The young guineas are now fast, strong and proficient flyers. When I let them out in the morning, they follow me in a close bunch squawking loudly as we walk through the forest. As soon as we get to the open ground of the oat paddock they start running and take off to fly the length of the paddock. They are now interacting more with the original six and I am confident they will integrate soon.
