Mystic Goats

20130527 05427 y.o. Bowie is in awe of the shocking power of the goats (he hadn’t experienced an electric fence before, so associates the experience with them).  Last weekend he was so over-wrought at his experience, he wouldn’t come into his stable, so I had to leave him out for a few nights.  I was able to get a rug on him for the second night which was going to be cooler, so I wasn’t too concerned.  The farrier and I managed to get him into his box briefly on Tuesday, but he was still not at ease.  I moved his food bowl so he could face the goat paddock while eating which has helped, but over a week later he still spends time looking across trying to figure them out.   I normally let the horses free range round the property, but the goats are exerting an invisible force field and even if I open the gate, he won’t come out.
