Supermoon
With all the rain during the day, we didn’t expect to see the supermoon, but just after 7.15pm, the clouds disappeared and the sky was clear. It is about 50,000km closer to earth than it’s furthest orbit and because this perigee moon coincides with a full moon it looks 14% bigger than a normal moon. It is the biggest and brightest full moon for 2013.
