The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Photo Bombing the Sunrise

20130812 060It was raining first thing, so there was no obvious sunrise. As I was manure picking in the stables, I saw a gap in the clouds and the sun’s rays starting to stretch out. I didn’t have the camera so I tried to ignore the unfolding image, but of course I couldn’t.   After finishing the first box I scuttled back to the house and got the camera.  Over the next 5 minutes, it just got better – this was the last image at 7.42am.  Mid-way through the shoot, I got photo bombed by four ducks who looked like the were enacting an episode of star wars with 2 being being imperial fighters in their Tie Fighters fighting the rebels in their X-wings.  They raced back and forward across my whole field of vision, soaring high and diving down for two minutes.  20130812 030
