Twin Girls!
Just a couple of minutes after I arrived, another “bag” appeared and a second kid shot out. I was glad to be on hand as Midge was too pre-occupied with cleaning up the first one to even spare a glance for the second. I grabbed a towel from my birthing kit and cleaned off her nose and mouth so she could breathe, then gave her a bit of a rub down and put her in front of mum. She was a bit smaller and a bit paler in colour than her big sister, but I was very relieved we had 2 girls. This is the best outcome for dairy goats and I had had my fingers crossed. Neither of these 2 cuties will be heading off the abbattoir.
