The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Eagle Eye View

20131103 001This big bird kept its eye on me as I turned over the hay for a second time with the rake. I can almost drive round the paddock with my eyes closed now. I realised that for this one crop I had been round the paddock nine times already, with just one more to go when we bale tomorrow. 1. sprayed, 2. raked, 3. seeded, 4. harrowed, 5. rolled, 6. fertilised, 7. mowed, 8. raked, 9. turned. The rake and harrows take the longest as they are only the width of the tractor and take about 3.5 hours each time.
