The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Helpful Kids

20131103 028It looked like the kids were all set to give me a hand with the mucking out, but it soon became clear that play was more what they hand in mind.   Everyday I use a cat litter scoop to separate  any “berries” that they have deposited in the sand in the pen, and twice a week, I clear out all the soiled bedding and top up with the discarded hay.  They are fairly picky eaters, so there is no shortage of clean bedding for them.  If I do run low, I can always get at least a barrow full from 27 y.o. Bowie’s stall.  He is just as picky as the goats.
