Sand Form for Oven
We sculpted some damp sand into the dome for the interior of the wood fired earth oven. We read a couple of books and numerous internet articles about the optimum shape/size. The key measurement we found was to have an interior height no greater than 350mm to prevent heat pooling above the floor and the height of the door has to be 63% of that height. There was not much about the best width, but most seemed to be about 1m in diameter.
