The Sheep Paddock

20140416 005 (2)Just over a year since we started planning for sheep in the bottom paddock, we have put in the corner and gate posts and Brad has welded up and hung the gates.   Because there is a thick band of ironstone cap rock on this part of the farm, we will pay a contractor to put the steel t-posts/star pickets in with a pneumatic driver.   We have kept this “home” paddock smaller than planned so there is less than 400m of fencing to do.  We will strip graze the rest of the north side with temporary electric fences when the sheep are settled.  We hope to have the sheep here next month.
