The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Racing Rainbows

20140602 023During autumn and winter, I am always dodging showers and racing rainbows when doing the farm chores.    On more mornings than not, I walk out to pick up the horse poo thinking ‘ooh that’s a pretty rainbow’.  The sun is behind me highlighting the shiny tin on the sheds and the rainbow arches out clearly against a dark sky.  Of course, I then realise that where there is a rainbow, there is rain and I rush to pick up the boxes before it arrives.  Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.  But it is only water and the house is dry.
