Regeneration
It feels like we have gone back to summer, it got to 34 degrees today and because the sun is lower in the sky, it comes under the eaves and gets into the house making it pretty warm. We are back to walking through the forest to stay cool during the day and are seeing signs of new life everywhere. Most of the banksia’s didn’t survive the controlled burn, but there are some new leaves emerging. Many have died in other parts of the property too, but even dead, they are interesting to look at as they are gnarled, twisted and sculptural shapes.
