The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Five Below

20130419 023It was 5.8 degrees this morning, five below the April average.   I felt a bit guilty that I had only rugged 27 Y.O. Bowie and not the other 2 horses, but the temperature had only dropped in the last hour before dawn.    We have rain forecast for the rest of the week and higher minima, so the heavy rugs may stay in their boxes for another week.   The Anemone like Drosera looked frosted with the heavy dew and it was a wet walk round the property.   I think this will be the last week for the summer Rossi paddock boots and I will be back in my wellies by Wednesday.
