The Country Diary of a GenX Woman

Thirteen Nannies

20130425a 043The older Guineas are looking after the two Littlies.  Last night they took me to where they were hiding under some branches ( I couldn’t find them at all) and helped me chase them back into their cage for tea and this morning, they led me over to the cage to let them out before 7am.  I had been letting them out after 10 the last few days so there was no danger of the fox still being around, but was happy for them to go off with the flock.  Although they can both fly, they are still inclined to hunker down and hide if frightened rather than flying off, but hopefully in a week or so they will be fully fledged.
